Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Review

Best Budget Skylake Motherboard!!!
As you guys may know, I used the Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard in my budget Skylake build. I had many worries and doubts about this motherboard, since the price was so cheap. It looked good on paper, but I couldn't find any QUALITY reviews on the web. Since I couldn't find any trustworthy reviews online, I became skeptical but decided to take the plunge anyway, and purchased the motherboard. After using this motherboard for my budget build, and for more than a week now, I can proudly say that buying this motherboard was the best decision I've ever made. First, off I'm going to start out by saying that this motherboard doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of a Z170 motherboard or even a H170 motherboard. But for a budget motherboard, it has all the essential ports and connections and didn't leave me wanting more. I'm glad I took the plunge and I highly recommend this motherboard to others out there who are looking for a budget motherboard that doesn't compromise features just because of the price.

Intel Skylake Pentium G4400 Review

I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I made up my mind to purchase this low end CPU. But so far, it hasn't given me any problems, or regrets of not purchasing a better CPU. After using the Skylake Pentium for a week, I realized that this CPU was even more than I bargained for. It handles every program that I have right now with ease and efficiency. Intel has done a great job marketing this CPU because it was never meant to outperform any of the latest Skylake iProcessor series. It was meant for people on a budget who still needed a good CPU and a decent integrated graphics, and also those who didn't want to go the AMD route.

CPU (8/10)
The CPU itself is not exactly a "beast" processor. But it's more than enough for daily tasks, like browsing the web, word processing, loading apps, handling all the features of Windows 10, and so on. The Skylake Pentium's single core performance is pretty good, but the multi core processing performance is quite low compared to Intel's more higher end offerings. I give the CPU a solid 8/10

Integrated Graphics (HD 510) (7/10)
One thing that really shocked me when using this CPU was its integrated graphics card. My expectation were almost non-existent when it came to the LOWEST END, INTEGRATED GRPAHICS that Intel is offering with the Skylake processors. Although it's not even close to matching some of the even low end graphic cards out there. It's perfect for my uses. I even played some browser base games like Slither.io, Agar.io, and Roblox just to test it out. It ran those games smoothly, and in the case of Slither.io, with high graphic settings. Although this integrated graphic card is the lowest offering in the Skylake generation, it's suitable for daily use and maybe some light gaming. (It's better than my 2nd gen i5 integrated graphics, HD3000) I give this integrated graphics a solid 7/10

I've included some gameplay footage. Excuse my skills as a gamer but I don't even play games so whatever ;P

Agar.io

- Super smooth even on the highest graphic setting

Slither.io

- Smooth with high graphic setting, but can have lag spikes especially during graphic intense moments. Can be solved by lessening graphic quality or turning off screen recorder.

Skylake PC Parts Review

Brief review of parts used in my build 2 days later...

CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor

Quite fast, although it's not the state of the art, top tier CPU it can easily handle all of the daily tasks you throw at it. I wouldn't recommend heavy gaming or video editing, but it's nice and speedy for light gaming and daily tasks(browsing the internet).
(STICKER COMES WITH THE PROCESSOR PENTIUM INSIDE)

Motherboard: Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

I think this motherboard is the best budget motherboard out there. Even though it lacks some extra features that the H170 and Z170 offers, it still has all the essential connectors and ports. Going strong DAY2
2x USB 3.0 Headers
4x USB 2.0 Back
2x USB 3.0 Back
1x PCIe Slot
2x DDR4 2133MHZ ram slots
4x SATA 6Gbps Connectors
And much more... (Sticker comes with the motherboard POWERED BY ASUS)
Feel free to ask me any questions about this motherboard and other parts!

Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory

Good, fast RAM with solid build quality. Also has a sticker that comes with the RAM (HyperX)

Storage: A-Data Premier SP550 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

LIGHTNING FAST SPEEDS. Loads OS, apps, and EVERYTHING FAST. Definitely recommend.

Case: Corsair 100R ATX Mid Tower Case

Very nice clean case with a LOT of room. The build quality is superb, and the features are abundant. Has 2x USB 3.0 FRONT headers which compliments my motherboard perfectly and also comes with a corsair fan 120mm built in.

Power Supply: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Good PSU with good build quality and has all the essential cables.

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

To be honest, I was disappointed by the quality of this drive. The drive is very loud and rattling when it's reading a disc. But it gets the job done and since I don't use the optical drive a lot anyway, it shouldn't be a problem.

Feel free to ask any questions about my parts or leave comments!!!

Skylake PENTIUM PC Build is COMPLETE

Honestly, I was pretty hyped about this first sit PC build mainly because it was my first PC build. The building process actually went fairly smoothly except for the part where I plugged in the cpu power in the wrong way. The case looks nice and sleek and had many features coupled with ample room. I really like the build experience as it took around 3 hours to build and configure. I greatly appreciate the boot times of the ssd as I have never owned a computer with an ssd. It makes a huge difference in startup times and I'm very pleased. One thing I didn't like about the build is the quality of the DVD burner. It was too loud and started going crazy. But other than that the other parts were top quality and worth mentioning. I will be uploading a review on all the parts as well as briefly talk about what comes in each box.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: VERY SPEEDY STARTUP AND SMOOTH OVERALL PERFORMANCE

Some core parts I used for the build

Excuse my cable management. IT'S ONLY MY FIRST TIME!!!

Purpose

I started this blog to keep track of my DIY PC builds, and also to inform readers about the parts I use and how they turn out. There are loads of information out there, but not even the internet can review every single computer part. This is why I want to help others learn about my computer builds and provide a genuine review on the parts. I will also be posting good deals on computer parts periodically. Thanks for visiting.
